Andrea Gabellone is a photojournalist from Puglia, Italy. A translator, sound and video technician and, since 2012, a journalist, he has made investigative reports and reportages for several national websites and newspapers, including La Repubblica, Linkiesta, Il Manifesto and Leccesette, a local news website where he works as editor in chief. He is a member of the UNHCR photographers team.
At the beginning of 2010, after returning from Spain, where he lived for a decade, he worked for the Italian state broadcaster Rai as a sound engineer, as well as a video operator on the “Human Goods” reportage, which won the Ilaria Alpi Biocr award in 2011. In 2019 he won the Premio Campione, giornalista di Puglia prize and the Maglio Award for his reportage “Beyond the Border“, about the journey of migrants through the Alps, on foot, to reach France.
